    Biography

Lived in Beverwijk, Wijkermeerweg 210. Married (one child). Metalworker/construction worker. Roman Catholic.
Originally he worked for the United Tin Factories in Krommenie. To escape the Arbeitseinsatz, he worked in 1943 for a contracting company in Beverwijk, whose management was not entirely politically reliable. He was then involved in bunker construction in IJmuiden. In February 1945, the Feldgendarmerie arrested him on charges of theft of material from the German Wehrmacht. Initially, he was interrogated at the police headquarters in Velsen. He was then transferred to the detention centre on Weteringschans in Amsterdam. As reprisal for the attack on the SS-Befehlshaber in the Netherlands Hanns Albin Rauter on 6 March 1945 near Woeste Hoeve, he was executed by firing squad on the Amsteldijk near Rozenoord.
