    Lived in Amsterdam, Prins Hendrikkade 189. Son of mechanical engineer/director Curacao Petroleum Company in the Dutch East Indies/chief engineer Bataafsche Petroleum Company Cornelis Elisa van der Stok (1 February 1882 Batavia, Dutch East Indies - 16 July 1945 Ede) and Annie Snethlage (7 September 1882 Batavia -7 November 1959 Scheveningen). Unmarried. Corporal-midshipman Royal Navy. No church. Member of the resistance. He was a coder at the Intelligence Bureau of the Secret Service in London. On 19 September 1943 he was parachuted over occupied Dutch territory. Because his transmitter was located by the Germans, he was arrested on 2 February 1944 and transported to Mauthausen.
