Reserve 1e Luitenant van Adrichem was battery commander at Keroengan, Garnizoen Tarakan. He was a professional military and Roman Catholic. He was executed on January 19th, 1942 by the Japanese at Tarakan, together with 214 fellow contrymen as a repraisal for sinking two Japanese minesweepers.
