    Biography

    Fernand Bègue was born on French Madagascar. Joined the FFL (Free French Troops) on Madagascar in January 1943 with FAFL No: 35831.
    Regrouped in Great Brittain and received parachutist training at Chamberley in August 1943. Gained the rank of Chasseur parachutist 2nd Class on 8 august 1943 with 4th SAS. Took part in operation Dingson from 9th June 1944 until 18th June 1944, operation Spencer with 1st Squadron from 26th August 1944 until 14th September 1944, operation Franklin from 24th December 1944 until 30th January 1945 with HQ Jeep, A Troop, Combat Squadron and operation Amherst with 3/1st Squadron, 4th SAS from 4th April 1945 until 20th April 1945.
    Buried : Memorial S.A.S in Sennecey-le-Grand.
