Biography
Richard R. Riesenberger was inducted on December 26th, 1942 and entered active service on January 2nd, 1943. He served as Radio Operator, Mechanic and Gunner with 414th Bomb Squadron (H) and flew during World War Two a total of 50 operational sorties between January and May 1944. When his Bomber 'Our Baby' (MARC: 5187) was shot down by a German air fighter on May 24th, 1944 he was taken POW by Ustashis and braught to SD in Petrinja - Yugoslavia.
