“When strong Bolshevik forces threatened the flank of his Division (which was attacking in the northern part of Stalingrad at the time), Oberstleutnant von Hellermann struck back at them while leading at the head of his Grenadiers. He and his men threw the enemy back and even captured a toughly defended industrial area.”
