Theodor Kimmich served as Wachmeister with Stab, II. Abteilung, Artillerie-Regiment 7. He died of his wounds on July 22nd, 1941 with Sanitätskompanie 1/7 and was buried at Mogilew in Grave 1787. With the celaring of the burial site at Mogilew, his remains were no longer identifiable. As a result of this, his remains were most probably reburied as an unknown soldier in Block 9 at the German War Cemetery Schtschatkowo (Schatkowo). His name has been placed on a granite remembrance stone at the cemetery.
