Wilhelmus Gerardus Johannes van Doorn was born in Lierop and lived in Helmond at the Bakelseweg 48. The enlisted soldier Wilhelmus van Doorn, was enlisted on March 19th, 1934 with the Regiment Wielrijders and after March 1st, 1939 was placed with the 2e Regiment Wielrijders. He was mobilized at August 29th, 1938 and was killed in action on Masy 15th, 1940 in Dordrecht.
