    Biography

    Terrell Edward Yon was born on October 23rd, 1919 as son to James W. Yon and Lillie Mae Parrish Yon. He flew a total of 110 operational sorties with the 5th Fighter Squadron, damaging two Messerschmit Bf 109's, destroying a Messerschmitt Bf 109 and a Messerschmitt Me 210. Most of his missions he flew in the Supermarine Spitfire and later in the war he flew the North American P-51. He married Norma Elaine Eubanks on October 6th, 1944.
