Biography

Lived in Papendrecht. Son of Bart van Oudenaarde and Neeltje Hartkoren. Unmarried. On Monday afternoon at about 15.00 hrs, Van Oudenaarde and some others were accosted at the corner Westeind/Oude Veer by three German soldiers. The Germans asked for identity papers. He did not have this document with him and tried to make this clear to the soldiers. This did not quite succeed and suddenly he took off. Cycling, the Germans chased Adriaan. In Kazernestraat, he was shot and died instantly. The three Germans were later taken for questioning by the Ordungspolizei (Green Police). The place where he was shot is included in the route 40-45 Papendrecht (5)
