Sher Muhammed served with the Royal Indian Army from October 6th, 1944 until February 28th, 1946. He served at the front in Burma.
After the separation of Pakistan from India, he took on the Pakistani nationality. After serving in the Pakistan Army het retired and went on serving in the State of Qatar Armed Forces.
