"Major General ODZIERZYNSKI has been C.C.P.A. 2 Polish Corps throughout the campaign in Italy. His planning has been brilliant, and he has handled the artillery with great skill. He personally planned the Artillery support for the battle for MONTE CASSINO, carrying out personal reconnaissances for the siting of his regiments he personally directed the Artillery operations during the battle with untiring energy and skill. The speed with which he was able to bring the greatest weight of Artillery to bear, in the battle for ANCONA contributed very largey to the quick and successful termination of the operation. He is an example and inspiration to his Staff and all who work with him, for his cheerful and tireless energy, his spirited determination and calmness when difficulties, however great, are encountered."
