    Biography

    General Stanislaw Bulak-Balachowicz was the president of the short-lived Belarussian People's Republic (1918-1919) and veteran from WW1 and the Polish-Soviet War. He was the main organiser of the anti-occupation Konfedracja Wojskowa (Military Confederation). In early 1940, Stanislaw Bulak-Balachowicz was captured by the Gestapo and executed in the centre of Warsaw on 10 May 1940.
