“During the heavy defense battles around Rzhev, Wachtmeister Fritz Petersen destroyed 7 enemy tanks on 05.08.1942, 5 on 10.08.1942 and a further 4 on 12.08.1942. Up until the end of August 1942 he knocked out a total of 31 enemy tanks on the Eastern front.”

“During the heavy defense battles in the middle section of the Eastern front Wachtmeister Petersen destroyed 8 enemy tanks in a single day, after he had already destroyed 4 on the previous one. Wachtmeister Petersen has so far destroyed 42 enemy tanks and participated in the destruction of 41 enemy aircraft.”
