Lieutenant General Pyotr Krasnov was a Russian senior commander during the First World War and Russian Civil War. He was the head of the cossacks in the Reichsministerium für die besetzten Ostgebiete from 1943 to 1945. Krasnov was captured by the British Army in May 1945 and handed over to the Soviets, who hanged him for high treason.
