Biography
Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve
While serving on HMCS St. Laurent, Scott was a member of a four party crew who battle fire for two days aboard a Swedish freighter.
It should also be noted that Scott was a survivor of HMCS Ottawa which was sunk on 13.9.42
Mr. Scott was born in Leith Scotland in 1911 and moved to Winnipeg as an infant and later to Toronto.

"For bravery and undaunted devotion to duty as members of a volunteer fire party from H.M.C.S. St. Laurent, which boarded a burning Merchant Vessel in a rough sea and by their determined efforts saved - the ship and her valuable cargo."
