Biography

Johann Schmid was killed on November 6th, 1941 over the English Channel and was formally reported as missing in action. At that moment he had achieved a total of 45 air victories in 137 operational sorties.

Flying over the crash site, his Me Bf 109 F-4 Werknummer 7211 coded 'Black 1' touched the water and sunk.
