The 117th Guards Motorised Rifle Regiment destroyed 8 tanks, 24 guns, 40 machine guns and mortars, 36 vehicles and 500 enemies in the Battle of Berlin. Because of colonel Gritsenko's merit, leadership and heroism, the Tempelhof airfield could be captured.
