"On 15 Apr 45 while driving a Troop Carrying Vehicle, Pte BOGDAN who was attached 3 Company Recce Party came under heavy enemy machine gun and grenade fire. Pte BOGDAN with complete disregard for his own safety succeeded in driving his vehicle out of range of enemy fire to a place of safety in spite of the force that it had been hit several times."
