Ernest Gimson was from Sawston but at 11 years old his family emigrated to Australia and settled in Babakin, Western Australia. At 19 years of age Ernest joined the RAF in 1935 where he went to school.
Ernie was reported missing off the coast of Sicily on 25th June, 1941.
