Recommendaton:
"Flying Officer Liszka has completed a large number of sorties including attacks against targets at Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Frankfurt, Mannheim and Brest. Despite heavy enemy opposition he has pressed home his attacks often from a very low level. On 14th August 1941, on the return flight from Hannover, the aircraft in which Flying Officer Liszka was second pilot was subjected to several determined attacks by an enemy fighter. One wing was severely damaged, but due to his skilful evasive action Flying Officer Liszka was able to return to this country and make a safe landing. He has displayed courage and devotion to duty of a high standard and set an excellent example."
Award approved 5 September 1942.
Recommendation drafted 29 April 1942 when he had flown 34 sorties (202 hours).
