Biography

Crew member of a Catalina flying boat PBY-5 shot down by Japanese anti-aircraft fire over Kiska Island (Alaska) on 14-6-1943. When Kiska was recaptured by the US in August 1943, the wreckage was found but not the grave of the 8 crew members. John Hathaway was listed as missing until the bodies were recovered and identified in 2002.
