Biography

John Francis Williams an observer on a Douglas Boston Mk III, which was shot down on April 27th, 1942. After taken POW he was locked up in Stalag Luft III and was one of the 50 POW's who were murdered after the "Great Escape"which took place in the camp om March 24th, 1944. John Francis Williams was one if those who escaped but was taken prisoner again at Sagan, Silesia.
