‘Fusilier David Walsh led a bayonet charge on a post held by at least fifty Libyans who quickly surrendered. He was wounded in the hand but refused to go back to the Regimental Air Post. He continued with his section in the attack and helped to stop a local counter-attack. He did not go to the Regimental Aid Post until ordered by his Platoon Commander next morning."
