    Biography

    Henry Dinham Drew served in Frnce and Belgium with the Machine Gun Corps, was wounded twice.
    In 1923 he was transferred to the Royal Tank Corps (later: Royal Tank Regiment).
    In the late 30's he served in Waziristan (OBE)
    During WW2 he served in France and North Africa, commanding the 5th Battalion Royal Tank Regiment, 3rd Armoured Brigade and 1st Armoured Brigade nad subsequently in Persia & Iraq where he was in charge of "E" (Trials) Wing, Norfolk of 79th Armoured Division (preparations for the invasion of France) (Croix de Guerre)
    At the end of the war he was Second-in-Command, HQ 31st Tank Brigade, from 02.02.1945 HQ 31st Armoured Brigade
    He retired in 1946.
