Ronald was the son of Thomas Edward and Alice Lilian Eliza Goodyear, of Southampton. He was the husband of Patricia Marie Goodyear, of Southampton England.
Ronald was killed in action on Monday May 24 1943 age 22 due to a crash.

He served with the 78 Sqdn Royal Airforce Volunteer Reserve.
