Paul Rodney Trevayne was the son of Edward William Robert and Enid E. Trevayne. He served as Rear Gunner with 75 Squadron RAF Royal Airforce Volunteer Reserve.
Paul was killed on Wednesday 3 February 1943 at the age of 23 years due to a crash with the Short Stirling BK604 AA-S. His aircraft was attacked by a German night fighter during a mission to Hamburg and crashed near Enter.
He is buried in the Old General Cemetery in Wierden. Text on his headstone:
