"This British Officer was singly parachuted in the Lac de Settons Region on 9 August, 1944, leading an extremely successful mission for intelligence which was beneficial for parachuted groups of his regiment. He crossed many thousands of kilometers in the Morvan and the Nievre region, travelling accompanied by French resistance fighters, obtaining always excellent results."
