"Capt Wilhelm Evang was designated by the Norwegian High Command as one of the two security Liaison Officers to be attached to the Allied Force HQ in NORWAY in the event of operations there as planned by HQ Scottish Command and subsequently HW FORCE 134. In that capacity he visited these HQ's for several periods and gave great assistant in the forming of the security plan for these operations, particulary in regard to checking particulars of individual suspects.
After the capitulation of the Germans he landed in NORWAY in the initial airborne landings. At a very early date he participated in securing the arrest of a number of the outstanding SIPO & SD personalities whoa had left OSLO. He was given the greatest assistance to the Intelligence Staff of HQ Allied Land Forces NORWAY both in the investigation of particular security cases and in further cloese relations with the Norwegian High Command and Norwegian Police in questions of security policy and practice."
