Recommendation:
"In November 1942, this oficer with a wireless telegraphy operator was landed in Belgium by parachute to organise Reception Committees, and to receive stores and to hide them in dumps. He was also ordered to bring back to England information and documents.
Lieutenant Livio made his headquarters in a chateau which he leased posing as repatriated prisoner of war. Here he successfully completed 8 operations and on three occasions collected containers which had been dropped 500 metres away from the agreed point.
Lieutenant Livio finally had to flee the country and after destroying any possible evidence, escaped to France. He returned to this country with a quantity of information and facilities of passes used in Belgium.
Lieutenant Livio is recommended for the award of the M.B.E. (Military Division).
