"On 17th April 1945 in the Squadron's action against Zambanini along the Gaiana Canal attack led by Warrant Officer II Braciszewski approached to within 60 metres of a bridge. The Commander Lieutenant Lipecki was wounded and fell out of the tank, Warrant Officer Braciszewski despite heavy fire from a distance of 60-70 metres, jumped out of the tank and rescued him at the risk of his own life.
Warrant Officer II Braciszewski has taken part in all the battles of the Corps' Italian Campaign and has always set a high example of courage and devotion to duty".
