"During the whole Italian Campaign, under the most difficult road and communication conditions, especially during the Apennine Campaign October -December 1944.
Lieutenant Kupferman contributed a great deal by his efficient organisation of work, conscientious and personal devotion to the fact that there never was any lack of supplies in the Regiment.
Thus enabling it to fulfil successfully it's battle tasks, he put all his enthusiasm, experience, perseverance and energy into his work.
On many occasions not withstanding the danger, he visited the forward positions and addressed elements in order to learn their requirements and meet them.
He always contributed more than was required by the nature of his duties and was a great inspiration to the men under him".
