"As ** i/c an advance support from 5 March 1945 to 6 April Capt Mittelstaedt took supplies up to the Armoured Regiments along the R SENIO under enemy artillery fire. From the beginning of the offensive, i.e. from 9 April to 21 April, he recced the routes for ammo and ration supplies he organised the forward ammo points, he conducted supply ** at night under enemy artillery fire to the advance supply point and by his courage and his selfpossession in difficult situations, he contributed to the achievement of the object without loss to his unit."
