"In the operations against Bologna this officer held the appointment of Assistant Director Hygiene and in that capacity he carried out additional duties connected with the direction of the Medical Services due to the absence of the ADMS. He has held the appointment for three years, during which period he trained and directed Hygiene and Anti-Malaria work in the Corps from Iraq to Italy. It was through his untiring efforts and personal drive that the standard of work reached such a high level and the results of this work have largely contributed to maintaining units at fighting strength."
