"Lieutenant Wierski has been personal assistant to the Deputy Adjutant and Quartermaster General 2 Polish Corps, since the Headquarters was first formed in Iraq in 1942.
By his quick understanding and tireless industry he was at that time of invaluable assistance both at Polish and British Headquarters.
During the period that the Corps was in training in Iraq and Palestine, he did much valuable work, when it was most important that the methods of supply adopted by the British Army in the field, strange in many respects to Polish Corps. Should be clearly understood and also be put into practice, during the Campaign in Italy, he has carried out his highly responsible duties with the utmost zeal.
By his care and attention to detail, he has ensured that the language difficulties in dealing with British Headquarters has been completely minimised and has played a large part in attaining a smooth and efficient working between the Assistant-Adjutant and Quartermaster General Staff of Headquarters 2 Polish Corps and other Headquarters".
