"As ADME 3rd Carpathian Division, Captain Federowicz showed untiring energy and zeal in ensuring the swift evacuation and repair of mechanical equipment of his division. During the Monte Cassino Operations between 11th and 18th May 1944, he himself directed the recovery of vehicles in the forward areas which at that time were exposed to enemy observation and shell fire. By his example and courage he was an inspiration to his Staff".
