"Since the inception of SWEM in April 1943 he has, by his zeal and steadfastness of purpose, built up a technical organisation which works smoothly and efficiently. At the Battle of Cassino the PEME Service showed its recovery and armament repairs were of a high order.

Encouraged by their DDME, PEME personnel worked unceasingly and contributed no small part in the brilliant achievements of 2 Polish Corps both at Cassino and during subsequent operations.

In addition to his sound organising ability, Lieutenant Colonel Suchodolski is a brilliant technical engineer, and it is entirely due to his unsparing efforts and leadership that PEME has been built up to its present working efficiency."
Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
