"Captain Rędziejowski as commander of a squadron of the 12th Podolski Lancers, on several occasions had the task of co-operating with the 7th Hussars. On 22nd July 1944 he commanded an attack by his own squadron contained "C" squadron 7th Hussars on Mount Ostra, under heavy artillery and mortar fire. Hill 215 and area 500 yards south of Ostra were captured, when he himself was wounded but he remained in control of his force, giving an example of courage and determination to his men which contributed largely to the eventual success of the action."
