- Dienstplichtig Soldaat (Enlisted Private)
- Unit:
- Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI), War Office, British Government
- Awarded on:
- December 14th, 1949
Recommendation:
He has distinguished himself by extraordinary courageous and tactful actions in the face of the enemy. After having landed by parachute in occupied Holland on March 29, 1942, he took on his task in exceptionally trying and difficult circumstances with limited means at his disposal to improve and expand military communication from occupied Holland to England in a very praiseworthy manner until he was captured by the enemy in early October 1942 and subsequently lost his life in Germany in early September 1944.
