On May 11th, 1941, comvoy OB319, Sub-Lieutenant Frederick Michael Cavendish Harvey with Leading Aircrafman D. Sykes flew from HMS Ariguani to intercept a sighted enemy aircraft. Without being able to intercept the enemy, Harvey had to fly his Fairey Fulmar N4072, to Iceland, where he safely landed at the Kaldardanes airfield.
