"Sene. Towards the middle of 1943, Sene applied to be enlisted in the Defence Force.
He was trained to use a Japanese rifle and sent in charge of a small party to round up small enemy patrols, which were beginning to appear in many places. Sene's leadership proved to be phenomenal. His party killed no fewer than 30 armed Japanese without casulaty to themselves.
It was soley due to Sene's outstanding personality that this success was achieved."
