Educated in Australia, Lussick immigrated in 1924 to New Britain to pursue a career of a Copra, cocoa and rubber planter. He was involved in the local politics during the period of Australian governance in New Guinea as member of the District Advisory Council; Member Land Board; member planters' Association; member Lions International; member R.A.O.B.; Trustee R.S.L. Kavieng; member New Guinea Club, Kavieng and Manus Club.
His son Michael is the director of Kokopo War Museum
