Biography
Claire Snyder (born Philips) was an American spy during World War II. She was portrayed by Ann Dvorak in the 1951 movie I Was an American Spy. She was also the author of Manila Espionage.

Upon the recommendation of General Douglas MacArthur. She was the only Oregon woman to ever receive the Medal of Freedom.
