On 6 Sep 44 during the attack on Castle Fort at BRIANCON on two occasions carried out liaison missions between his platoon and the Company Commander in spite of heavy and accurate enemy fire. Succeeded in evacuation his mortally wounded platoon commander under extremely dangerous conditions thus displaying magnificent disregard for personal danger."
