For gallantry in operations against SHAIKH AHMED OF BARZAN 1931-32. Rancombe and Adams were part of a column involved in the aforementioned operation when they succeeded in recovering, while under fire, mules (presumably carrying operational equipment or supplies) which had stampeded.
