Gerhard John was killed in the explosion at mill Onze Rika in Bennekom, the Netherlands. He held the rank of Obergefreiter and was enlisted with 310 Fliegrhorst-Kommandantur R Perleberg. His remains at first were buried at the Algemene Begraafplaats in Bennekom but were transferred to Ysselsteyn on February 10th, 1949.
