Joseph Kist was killed in the explosion at mill Onze Rika in Bennekom, the Netherlands on November 23rd, 1944. He held the rank of Pionier with 373-14. Flieger-Regiment 22. His remains were at first buried at the Algemene Begraafplaats in Bennekom but were transferred to Ysselsteyn on February 10th, 1949.
