August 1943: appointment as liaison agent to the staff of the 1st Battalion of the Französische Infanterie-Regiment No. 638
August 17, 1943: wounded at Krutscha
March 9, 1944 : German insignia for the wounded in black
January 1944: on leave in France from January 4 to January 23
February 26, 1944: wounded at Dewoschizy
March 20, 1944 : Cited in General Order No. 6 of March 20, 1944 ; summons from the L.V.F. of 26 February 1944 consisting of the award of the Legionary War Cross with palm and French medal for the wounded soldiers and on the same date promoted to gefreiter
July 1944 : on leave in France from July 17 to august 1st
September 1944: assigned to the staff company of the 1st battalion of the Waffen-Grenadier-Regiment der SS 58 (Franz. No. 1); holds the rank of W-sturmmann
January - April 1945 : attended the officer course in the SS Junkerschule in Kienschlag
