- Period:
- Second World War (1939-1945)
- Rank:
- Flight Sergeant
- Unit:
- No. 77 Squadron, Royal Air Force
- Awarded on:
- June 11th, 1942
"This NCO is strongly recommended on two separate counts. Firstly, he is particularly conscientious and hard working in the performance of his routine duties, and displays outstanding energy and zeal at all times. Secondly, he has been responsible for the development of a particularly successful and satisfactory clear view panel on the rear turret (F.N.A.) on Whitley aircraft. This clear view panel is far superior to other types, and its design and development were entirely the work of Sergeant Davies, acting entirely on his own initiative."
Recommendation raised 21 February 1942.
