Harry Audley was born February 17, 1914 in Burnley as son of Benjamin Audley and Alice Hannah Berry.

Harry married Clara Bradshaw in the fourth quarter in 1939 at the St. John the Baptist, Gannow, Burnley. A son was born from this marriage at the end of 1940. As a Private he was part of the 2nd Battalion of the Devonshire Regiment when he was killed during the liberation on 21 January 1945.
